World War Two Project Work

World War II Project Worksheet. Topics to be covered.

1. Dieppe
2. Ortona
3. D-Day
4. Battle of the Atlantic
5. Hong Kong
6. Liberation of the Netherlands
7. Women in World War II
8. The Home Front

The class will form eight stations based on the topics above. Each group is responsible to do the following:

a. brainstorm ideas related to your topic;

b. organize and plan your research based on your initial and detailed brainstorming session;
c. Report your results to your teacher and discuss additional or sub-topics.(6 marks)

d. Prepare a detailed one-pager fact sheet on your topic. This fact sheet should follow the oral presentation made to your teacher and include time lines, issues, names, places where appropriate. This fact sheet serves as an initial organizer for further in-depth study and also as a study reminder of all of your key elements. (12 marks)

e. Prepare a station of your topic that illustrates the major and detailed facts.This could include images, speeches, quotes, maps, artifacts, models, video clips, or whatever your group can think of to make your presentation interesting and compelling. (30 marks);

f. Present your key ideas and controversial issues to the class and allow the class to debate one controversial point (20 marks)
